1.5 to 4 blocks walking there are about 3-4 different NJ Transit buses to Port Authority 42 street NY city ( all buses take 20min to 25min to get to NYC) 119 Bus - Central Ave at Congress S (4 min walk to this stop) 123 Bus - Palisade Ave at Paterson Plank Rd (6 min walk to this stop) Also, corner of Poplar Street and JFK Blvd - 1.5 blocks away is "Spanish or Mexican or Jitney bus" those are smaller shorter buses. They go every 10 min straight to NYC bus Terminal. These buses are cheaper and usually faster/express buses. Light Rail 10-12 minutes walk is Congress/9th st Light-rail stop. You need to go to Hoboken only a few stops or Grove st/Exchange place downtown Jersey City there you can get Path trains to NYC. Path will take you to WTC or 33 street in midtown.
